Pulsin Snack & Protein Bars
I am sure you must have heard of Pulsin or tried some of their products.
Pulsin is a health food brand that specialises in creating nutritious and natural products. Their mission is to provide wholesome and sustainable food options that promote overall well-being. Their product lineup includes protein bars, protein powders, snack bars, and raw chocolate.
In this roundup we have included some of their delicious snack & protein bars. The entire range of snack bars is vegan, gluten free, palm oil free and made from the best, highest quality, non-artificial ingredients.
We love their plant-based keto bars. We tried:
- Choc Fudge & Peanut Keto Bar
- Mint Choc & Peanut Keto Bar and
- Orange Choc & Peanut Keto Bar
All the three flavours are yummy and each bar contains 13 grams of plant based protein and is packed full of crunchy peanuts and 'no added sugar' chocolate chips.
Great in taste, filling and low carb, these keto snack bats are great for on-the-go or when you want to enjoy a guilt-free chocolate treat.
We also tried their indulgent choc covered Cookie Dough Protein Bar (15 grams of plant based protein; gluten free, contains no palm oil and has under 1 gram of sugar per bar) and the chocolate covered Choc Fudge Protein Bar (delicious fudgy texture, 15 grams of protein and under 1 gram of sugar) and loved both. The latter was my favourite though.
And if you enjoy brownies, then you must try the high-fibre, vegan brownies from Pulsin that are covered in 67% coconut blossom sugar chocolate for extra decadence. They are also gluten free and under 150kcals. Yum!

CRAVE Notella
Free-from brand, CRAVE, recently launched a plant-based alternative to a well-known, popular chocolate spread. Called Notella, the spread is made from hazelnuts and dairy free chocolate, and has a smooth and rich texture and is free from egg, milk and gluten. I loved this! It is delectable.
In addition to Notella, CRAVE also launched Big Dipper which is a snacking pot featuring mini breadsticks with a smooth choc, hazelnut dip.
Both these products are delicious treats that one can enjoy as part of a gluten-free or vegan diet.
The products are available to buy from Morrisons stores across the country.
The Groovy Food Company Natural Sweeteners
The Groovy Food Company is a UK-based food brand that specialises in producing and distributing organic and natural food products.
One of their most popular products is their range of natural sweeteners. They were among the first to introduce organic and natural alternatives to refined sugar, such as agave nectar, coconut sugar, and date syrup. These sweeteners are known for their lower glycemic index and are often used as healthier alternatives in baking and cooking.
We tried the following natural sweeteners from their range:
- Light Amber & Mild Agave Nectar: 100% organic, this natural fat-free sweetener is great for sweetening hot or cold foods and drinks. It works well with cereals, toast or hot drinks and you can also use it in salad dressings, cakes and sauces. It has a sweet yet mild taste so it doesn't overpower other tastes.
- Rich & Dark Agave Nectar: this smooth, maple-like syrup, is 100% organic and fat-free. You can use it instead of brown sugar or maple syrup. It works wonderfully well on yoghurts and ice-creams and can also be used in baking, for marinades or in hot drinks.
Both these products are vegetarian and vegan friendly, low GI and free from gluten and wheat.
We also tried out the Organic Date Syrup from the brand. This natural and nutritious plant-based sweetener is low in fat, vegetarian and vegan friendly and is very versatile. You can add it to baked goods like cakes, cookies, and muffins to provide sweetness and moisture or drizzle over pancakes and waffles for a delicious and healthier sweet topping.
You can also use it as an ingredient in homemade salad dressings, adding a touch of sweetness and depth of flavour as well as a base or ingredient in various sauces and glazes. And yes, it can also be used in raw desserts, energy bars, or as a binder in homemade granola or protein balls. I made some mixed nut protein balls and this syrup was the perfect binder.
The Groovy Food Company Organic Coconut Oils
Coconut oil is a versatile cooking oil that has gained popularity in recent years due to its unique flavor and health benefits. It can be used as a substitute for other cooking oils, such as vegetable oil or olive oil. It has a high smoke point, which means it can withstand high temperatures without breaking down and producing harmful compounds. It is suitable for frying, sautéing, and stir-frying.
I have tried out 2 of The Groovy Food Company's infused, cold pressed organic virgin coconut oils and loved how flavourful and versatile they are.
The Organic Virgin Coconut Oil infused with Ginger, as the name suggests, is infused with natural ginger while the Organic Virgin Coconut Oil infused with Chilli and Garlic is infused with natural organic chilli and garlic.
You can use the oils in dairy-free or vegan recipes as a substitute for butter or other animal-based fats. Both the oils add a delicious depth of flavour and a little heat, when used in curries, sauces or stir-fries. You could even melt the coconut oil and drizzle it over freshly popped popcorn for a unique flavour.
