Hand-crafted in Germany using only the best materials, Lilienthal Berlin watches embody style and an uncompromising quality. 

Mr.H has their L1 Limited Edition 'Golden 20s' watch and loves it -  state-of-the-art quality, excellent craftsmanship and great performance. A recent addition to his watch collection has been the Huxley - yet another stunning piece from Lilienthal Berlin. 

Lilienthal Berlin's Huxley (Bronze Black) Watch

With a classic, stunning design, gleaming details and glow-in-the-dark Superluminova hands, the Huxley is a 'statement piece' that works well in both casual and formal scenarios.

The watch like all other offerings from Lilienthal Berlin is designed, manufactured and quality tested in Germany. The dials come from small factories in the Black Forest region while the straps from factories near Frankfurt. The movement, however, comes from Swiss manufacturer Ronda. Finally, the watches are assembled in Pforzheim. Every little detail has been carefully looked into and this is reflected in the touch of refinement that the Huxley offers.

While the L1 Limited Edition 'Golden 20s' oozed vintage glamour and sophistication, the Huxley is more about subtle, elegant style. It has a brushed stainless steel case, a dial with sun cut effect, elegant hour markers, date window and Superluminova-coated hands that give it a stylish and timeless look. Other details like the recessed crown in the shape of the famous World Clock at Alexanderplatz and lettering from Berlin’s street signs give it a classy finish.

But what we think is the Huxley's best feature is its elegant metal tone. The watch case’s bronze tone runs through to the gleaming hour markers and down to the hands and complements the metallic shimmer of the black dial. What a fabulous combination it is! And it adds extra elegance to the already stylish watch.

Another feature that I must mention here is the quality of the watch strap. It is made from interwoven strands of 316L surgical stainless steel, is anti-allergenic and never rusts. And the length can be easily adjusted for an optimal fit. Also, if you like changing the look of your watch, you can easily change the strap with the quick-release mechanism. Lilienthal Berlin also sell watch straps separately and you will find a lot of complementary designs and colours on there.

Overall, it is a fantastic watch. The quality of finishing of the case, the dial and the strap is exceptional and shows high craftsmanship. You can see the superb finishing in every last detail and the watch is very comfortable to wear.
