The current lockdown measures means that many of us are far apart from our families and friends. Technology is the only way of staying connected with loved ones and special occasions that normally meant friends & families getting together have been cancelled or are being celebrated online. But even in these uncertain times, you can show a loved one that you are thinking of them by sending them a thoughtful and delicious gift, like the Chocdown box from Willie's Cacao.
Willie's Cacao Chocdown Box
The Chocdown Box allows the recipient to taste some of the world’s best single estate cacaos and discover 5 of Willie's Cacao's flavoured bars, all 100% natural. They can also try some Hot Chocolate and delicious Praline Truffles - the perfect dream for a chocolate lover!
The Chocdown box contains:
- 3 x Single Estate Dark chocolates 50g
- 1 x Milk of the Stars, Surabaya 54 milk chocolate 50g
- 4 x 50g bars – mix of flavours
- 1 x Sea Flakes, milk chocolate with sea salt 26g
- 1 x Praline Truffles, milk chocolate 16 truffles 110g
- 1 x Hot Chocolate, 54% Medellin cacao 250g
Note: Each box will contain the number of items listed above but some flavours may change.
Some of the flavours included in the box that we received were: Passion Fruit Milk Chocolate, El Blanco Sublime Creamy White Chocolate, Almendra Dark Chocolate with Roasted Almonds, San Agustin Gold Colombian Dark Chocolate and Las Trincheras Gold Venezuelan Dark Chocolate. Every single flavour was rich and irresistible. These are not your regular chocolatey treats - these are the kind of sweet treats that will make you relish and savour each bite. Difficult to pick one as my favourite as I enjoyed all of them.
The Praline Truffles were delectable. Freshly roasted hazelnuts and just the perfect amount of Cornish Sea Salt dipped in chocolate and dusted with cocoa powder make these truffles a sumptuously indulgent treat. And the packaging is lovely too.
The hot chocolate was fab. It is 100% natural, and has only two ingredients, cacao and raw cane sugar. Very flavourful. Top it with whipped cream for a really decadent drink.
There was a little bonus as well in the box - a recipe for Willie's Brownies along with two of the ingredients - Colombian San Agustin 88 Dark Chocolate and Raw Cane Sugar. The recipe was simple with a preparation time of 10 minutes and a cooking time of 15 minutes. The brownies turned out well and were devoured in no time.
Overall, a fantastic selection of products. The Chocdown Box is sure to impress any chocolate lover and makes for a great gift. Gift it to a loved one or gift one to yourself. After all, every so often, it's important to treat yourself too!
