Protein is a macronutrient that is essential for your health whether you are just looking to stay healthy, build some muscle, are a casual gym user or a professional athlete. There are a number of protein products in the market currently, with many new products being launched on a regular basis. In this post, I am sharing some products that we tried our recently and liked. Take a look.Link Nutrition Vegan Protein (Chocolate Fudge Flavour)
If you are looking for a vegan protein powder, then I recommend trying out Link Nutrition's chocolate fudge flavoured vegan protein powder. It's fantastic. Made from a unique blend of pea, rice, sunflower and pumpkin it is a great way to meet your daily protein requirements.
Ingredients: Pea protein, chocolate natural flavouring with stevia, rice protein, pumpkin seed protein, sunflower seed protein.
Free from: Gluten, soya and preservatives.
High in protein and low in carbs, the protein blend can be added to smoothies or simply mixed with milk and enjoyed. Both ways it is delicious but Mr.H prefers to have it mixed with skimmed milk.
The protein powder has no artificial flavours or colours and is easy to mix using a shaker. And it tastes good too! It is a fab way to boost your daily protein intake, feel satiated for longer and even to build lean muscle.
A 500g pack costs £19.95 and can be ordered online from www.linknutrition.com

My favourite of the ones we tried was the Lemon + Pistachio flavour which is made from dates, cashews, flaked desiccated coconut, poppy seeds, vegan plant based proteins with a zesty lemon flavour. Superdrug's Protein Range
Superdrug recently introduced 40 new fitness and nutrition products from brands such as PhD, Fulfil, Grenade, Trek etc. Aimed at supporting your wellbeing goals, the product range includes flapjacks, protein biscuits, cookie & protein bars and high protein shakes. We tried out a few products and here are some that we liked.
TRIBE Protein Choc Brownie Bar - TRIBE make innovative performance nutrition products from natural ingredients like fruits, nuts, vegan protein, cacao nibs etc. The bars are 100% natural, are dairy and refined-sugar free and offer a good dose of protein making them great snacks to refuel after an exercise.
The chocolate brownie bar contained date syrup, almonds, sunflower seeds, cashew nuts, coconut sugar, pea protein, rice protein, cocoa powder and chia seeds as some of the main ingredients and was delicious. It is not only a healthy product snack, but can be enjoyed as a healthy dessert too. Loved this.
Pro2Go Gooey Protein Bar Bluberry - With a smooth liquid centre, the protein bar is low on sugar and has around 21g of protein making it a great guilt free, healthy snack. Mr.H loved this. In addition to the Blueberry flavour, the bar is available in Peanut Butter, Coconut and Apple & Cinnamon flavours.
PhD Smart Bar White Choc Blondie - Another favourite of Mr.H. This one is a luxurious treat. It has a super-soft protein centre that is coated in gooey caramel and protein crispies followed by a smooth chocolate coating. The protein crispies give a crunchy texture while the chocolate coating adds to the luxuriousness. A delicious, high protein, low sugar snack - perfect for when one is on the go!
Grenade Carb Killa White Chocolate & Peanut Protein Bar - triple-layered deliciously crunchy, low in sugar and high in protein, this one is a great tasting bar. Works well as a post-workout treat or simply as a healthy, delicious treat. I liked this one - not only does it deliver a good protein dose but also satiates any chocolate cravings.
A fab selection of products, overall. You can check out all of Superdrug's range at www.superdrug.com
MyProtein's Protein Bars & Snacks
MyProtein have an impressive selection of protein snacks including protein bars, protein cookies, spreads, syrups and nuts. Their products are specially made for those with dietary requirements and you will find a range of products regardless of your diet and taste.
Let me share some of my favourite's from their protein snack range. First up is the Vegan Protein Cookie - with 13g of plant-based protein per cookie, these are a absolutely delicious and quite filling. They are, as the name suggests, vegan-friendly and will not only help you manage your daily protein requirements but also satisfy sweet-tooth cravings.
I tried out another cookie - the Gooey Filled Cookie and even this one was delicious! Baked with chocolate chips and a deliciously rich dough and with a yummy, gooey caramel centre, this cookie is not your standard protein cookie. It is a game changer. Great taste and texture, great quality, low sugar, 20g of protein per serving - what is not to love.
Next up, were the layered protein bars which Mr.H quite liked. Featuring six layers of taste and texture these bars provide a hit of protein, carbohydrates, and fibre all in a single bar and come in a range of flavours - Birthday Cake, Chocolate Sundae, Lemon Meringue and Cookies & Cream.
Birthday Cake tasted just like a cake and Chocolate Sundae was fab. So very good. Without any doubt these are some of the best protein bars we've tried.
In fact, all the above products from MyProtein were fantastic - good protein content and great taste and also perfect for on-the-go. Check out the entire range at www.myprotein.com
