A few months back I had introduced to you - Lilienthal Berlin - a fast-growing watch brand from Berlin. The L1 Limited Edition 'Golden 20s' features a gleaming green dial (with contrasting intricate golden details) housed in a warm-silver stainless steel case. Another key feature that I would like to bring to your notice is that the mesh strap of the watch is made from interwoven threads of 316L surgical steel in the colour ‘warm silver’. The technological finesse is seen in the  smooth braided finish that showcases the best properties of the material. Based on his experience with the Dark Silver Chronograph Mesh watch, Mr.H can confirm that the strap is robustly made and offers great comfort while wearing. It is also anti-allergenic and resistant to wear and tear.

The L1 'Golden 20s' is available with a case diameter of either 37.5 (featured) or 42.5 millimeters and Lilienthal Berlin have limited the number of pieces in each size to just 1927 as 1927 marks the peak of the Golden Twenties and the greatest celebration of urban freedom. Each watch is engraved with its very own serial number on the case.

Made in Germany

The L1 'Golden 20s' is a personification of traditional German craftsmanship combined modern technology. The time consuming and intricate process of assembling the dial takes place in Schwarzwald in Southern Germany while the final production and quality control tests also take place in Germany. Even the packaging for the watch is produced in Germany using eco-friendly materials. With strict processes in place, Lilienthal Berlin ensure that every watch looks exactly as it should and performs to the brand's high standards.

A good cause

The L1 Limited Edition ‘Golden 20s’ isn’t just a fabulous watch but also a watch that aims to have a positive impact on the future. According to Lilienthal Berlin, once the last watch is sold from this limited edition, they will donate 5000 euros from the proceeds to a charitable institution in Berlin to help children in need. This I feel is an excellent gesture from brand.

Like I had said earlier, this limited edition unisex watch is elegantly designed and every little thing from the dial to the mesh strap to the buckle are a reflection of the high quality of production. I am sure this watch is going to keep time reliably for many years to come.
