DB Reviews has been trying out two products from Gengigel - Gengigel Mouth Rinse and Gengigel Spray - and we thought we would share our views on the same. Both these products are general mouth-wide products and can be used for treatment/maintenance/prevention of oral conditions.
Key ingredient: The main ingredient in both the products is Sodium Hyaluronate. Our bodies naturally produce hyaluronic acid which performs the function of healing and repairing. However as we age our requirements for Hyaluronan increases. And in such a scenario, products which contain high quality Hyaluronan like the Gengigel range of products, help with both healing and symptom relief - in case of Gengigel it is stopping minor bleeding and soothing pain and soreness.
- Gengigel Mouth Rinse: The mouth rinse is for generalised conditions such as sore burning mouth syndromes, dry mouth or mouth pain/irritation. According to Gengigel, it has been clinically proven to heal and prevent mouth ulcers, inflamed & bleeding gums, gum recession and denture abrasion.
- Gengigel Spray: This one is for those hard to reach areas or those that are too sensitive to touch. Spray directly onto the affected area 3-4 times daily.
Mr.H who is frequently plagued by gum problems has been trying out the products and has noticed improvement in the condition of his gums. They appear more healthier now. The mouth rinse has a pleasant taste and as such is nice to use. He plans to continue using this for healthy maintenance of his gums.
I, luckily, do not have any major problems with my teeth/gums. But I did get a chance to put Gengigel to test when I developed a mouth ulcer (probably due to a spicy meal I had). I used the spray for targeted action, using it around 5-6 times a day and it did speed up the healing, I feel.
