JORD - DOVER Zebrawood & Dark Sandalwood Watch
JORD make hand-crafted wooden timepieces. According to them, they are
focused on creating timepieces that are modelled after a modern lifestyle.
The first thing to catch our attention was the craftsmanship. One look at the watch and you can tell that a great deal of effort and thought has gone into the making of the watch. It is a unique timepiece that is sure to last a lifetime. Because it makes use of wood, each watch is one-of-a-kind because no two trees are the same! And the source of the wood used in the watches also varies with some coming from furniture remnants while some from trees that have fallen naturally.
The watch we received, Dover, makes use of two different types of wood:
- Zebrawood - A luxury hardwood that is native to West Africa and offers a striking grain contrast and exceptional finish.
- Sandalwood - Known for its fragrance, JORD uses various species of sandalwood in varying colour tones.
Both the zebrawood and dark sandalwood are hand finished and have been pre-treated with tung oils. The Dover watch is also splash-proof (but please note that you should not submerge it in water (3 ATM)).

- Self-winding automatic system which means it requires no battery
Keeping your JORD watch safe
Along with your JORD watch, you also receive a collector’s edition humidor cedar watch box to keep your watch protected when not in use. The box includes a cleaning cloth, and a small supply of 'JORD Preserve' which is a custom-formulated wood treatment gel with applicator pen. This helps to protect the wood band of the watch keeping it in good condition for years to come.
Customising your JORD watch
