Kaufmann is an English brand that was established way back in the 1920s. Originally, they sold baskets and other products made from natural raw materials. 2018 sees the brand re-established into the field of kitchenware and today they make saucepans, frying pans, prep and serverware etc. Kaufmann's products are available to buy only on Amazon and their offerings are perfect for those who want great value without compromising on quality.
Kaufmann's Sienna range which includes a 3-piece saucepan set, a 5-piece saucepan and a 2-piece frying pan set, are all designed to stand the test of everyday use and offer great value for money. I was sent the 3-piece saucepan set for review and my first thoughts on receiving the product was how well made it looked. And that too at a very affordable price of £36.28 (RRP) for a 3-piece set.
The 3-piece set includes a 14 cm milk pan and 16 cm & 18 cm saucepans with lids. The pans make use of stainless steel with PFOA free non-stick which means they are very easy to clean. The pans are lightweight than the other saucepans in my kitchen but look well-made and durable. The saucepans have 'impact forged' bases which ensures even heat distribution which in turn means more efficient cooking. The saucepans are suitable for all hob types, including induction. The two saucepans come with vented glass lids to help prevent over-boiling. The handle has a reinforced and riveted design which means there is a permanent and solid connection to the body of the pan. So, there are no chances of the handle coming loose with frequent usage. The handle is hollow, allowing air to flow through and this keeps it more manageable (because of the lighter weight) and also makes it easier to handle (as it stays cooler). Another nice feature is the ergonomically designed thumb grip which improves handling and balance when pouring.
Overall, the set looks well-made and is easy to clean. All the pans are dishwasher safe. Although lightweight, the pans look durable and the mirror polished stainless steel adds to their stylish looks. The set comes with a 10 year warranty with a 5 year non-stick guarantee. Very good value for money!
