I love all things festive and after my recent post on the luxury Christmas hamper from Prestige Hampers, today I bring to you another fabulous find - a tea advent calendar from Victoria Mae Designs.
Victoria Mae is a Belfast-based surface designer who specialises in illustration and printed pattern. The range was launched in 2012 and today Victoria Mae’s award-winning designs can be found on a wide range of products, from textiles to tableware to teabags!
This tea advent calendar is such a wonderful idea. Featuring 25 teabags, each individually packaged in handcrafted sewn paper envelopes and featuring a beautiful illustration on each package, this is the perfect advent calendar for tea lovers. The envelopes are dated from 1st to 25th December and there is an option to choose the tea flavours. You can pick from English Breakfast, Earl Grey, PG Tips, Tetley's Tea, Barry's Irish Tea and assorted mixed flavours (like Mountain Honeybush, a caffeine-free honeybush tree with a lovely honey scent or the Moroccan Mint, a lovely blend of spearmint leaves with superior gunpowder green tea or Cape Malay Rooibos which is a soothing blend with warming spice notes). The teabags come packaged in a cardboard gift box. There is however the option to order festive strings and pegs to display the advent calendar.
I loved the whole concept and execution of this tea advent calendar. The illustrations on the envelopes are varied and unique and the quotes are apt for the festive season. A lot of thought has gone into the designs and because it is handmade and hand sewn, it makes it even more special.
The price for the tea advent calendar ranges between £23.40 to £25.40 depending on the tea flavour you choose and whether you want the gift with/without the pegs and strings.
