A few weeks back I was sent a Judge Non-Stick Stir-Fry Wok to review. The wok came in a box packaging which I liked. If you are purchasing it as a gift for someone, it is easy to gift wrap.
The wok is from Judge Kitchenware's new Radiant range and benefits from Teflon’s very latest Radiance non-stick surface which is PFOA free. This is a 3 layer non-stick which uniquely integrates ferrous particles which accelerate heat transfer through the non-stick layer thus creating a very even heat throughout the pan.
The wok is suitable for all hob types including induction. It is a seriously good make as expected from Judge. Teflon radiance has been applied to a thick aluminium body (to ensure a speedy and even heat transfer making it ideal for fast efficient cooking). The aluminium has been sealed with heat proof metallic red paint and the end result is a stunning and well made wok. Matching soft grip red handles have been provided. I also liked the fact that it comes with a lid unlike a lot of other woks on the market! My current wok also doesn't have a matching lid, so this one won some extra points for the lid as well.
I have used this wok several times since receiving it and it is wonderful. It heats up evenly and needs very little oil when cooking. I have used it to make stir-fry and Indian curries and it delivers well in all instances. The wok is well made but not very heavy. It is easy to clean as well. I think this wok will be a nice addition to your kitchen if you make a lot of curries or stir-fry.
Quality-wise, it is top quality as expected from Judge. The PFOA free non-stick surface seems tough and effective, the lid and side handles are easy to grip. Overall, the wok looks and delivers well on all aspects. And this is reflected in the brand guarantee - Judge offers a 25-year guarantee and a 10 year non-stick guarantee on this wok.
