I enjoy listening to music, like most people do. It doesn't matter if I am travelling on a train or relaxing at home or even cooking a meal in the kitchen, music makes everything enjoyable. My favourite songs are stored on my phone and I usually listed to them on a loop while travelling. But then I wanted something that not only allowed me to listen to new songs but also kept me updated with news while on the move. And I happened to come across VQ's website. They have an amazing range of DAB+ radios and Bluetooth speakers - all crafted to match individual styles and needs.
I was offered the opportunity to review one of their products and I chose the VQ Blighty DAB+ & FM pocket radio. It was exactly what I was looking for.
The VQ Blighty DAB+ & FM pocket radio is the perfect portable partner to keep listening to your favourite digital or analogue radio stations wherever you go. Blighty is sleek, stylish and comes with headphones, USB charge cable and a Lithium-ion rechargeable battery. It is available in a range of colours and while all were lovely, I picked the silver one. With a high quality anodised aluminium finish, the DAB radio looks lovely.
Blighty is very easy to set up. You need to ensure that you plug in the earphones to use the radio. They are the antenna of the radio and without them there will be no DAB/FM signal. Once you have plugged in the earphones, turn the switch at the top of the unit to 'ON'. Then you press the DAB/FM button repeatedly until it goes into the DAB mode. FM 87.5MHz is the default. The operation is simple and everything is well explained in the user manual. You can manually scan stations or use the autoscan option. Blighty also allows you to store your favourite stations and you can view information about the station using the INFO/MENU button. I used the autoscan options to get started.
Blighty is so much fun to use, particularly when travelling. It is lightweight, compact and I have been able to carry it on all my travels. It is priced at £49.99, which I feel is a very good price considering the quality of the product. Blighty would make a lovely, little gift for any music lover. If you are still looking to purchase Christmas presents, I would recommend Blighty as a wonderful and useful gift idea. You can purchase it from www.myvq.co.uk
And now some good news for my readers. MyVQ are kindly giving away one of these Blighty DAB/FM radios to one lucky reader of this blog. Enter using the widget below. All the best!
