Grant’s whisky is Scotland’s oldest family-run blend, making it a cabinet staple for anyone who really appreciates quality, taste and the craft that goes into making an outstandingly good whisky. Today Grant's is run by the fifth generation of William Grant's descendants and stays true to the original, closely guarded recipe.
One of Grant's most well-known blends is the Family Reserve - a rich, smooth and mellow blend.
Tasting notes
Nose: Complex, clean with notes of ripe pear and summer fruits
Taste: Balances vanilla sweetness with malty and light floral fragrances
Finish: Long and sweet with a subtle hint of peat
Grant's Family Reserve can be enjoyed neat and works well in cocktails too. The Hot Toddy Whisky Cocktail is a hot, sweet and spicy winter classic that will be perfect for festive entertaining. Recipe below.
Ingredients
2 parts Grant’s whisky
Boiling water
4 to 6 cloves
1 Lemon twist
2 tsp Demerara sugar or brown sugar
¼ Lemon juice
Fill a mug with boiling water and let stand for 1-2 minutes. Meanwhile stick cloves into lemon twist and set aside. Empty the mug and fill about halfway with fresh boiling water. Stir in the sugar and prepared lemon twist. Then stir in the lemon juice and Grant’s.
Enjoy!
Grant’s Family Reserve is available at all leading supermarkets and off licences.
