When we think of laser technology for skincare, we think of pricey salon or clinic treatments. Such treatments are mostly expensive and you need to undergo multiple treatment sessions. What if I told you that you could use the exact same technology as professional clinic and salon treatments in the comfort of your own home and achieve similar results. Sounds exciting, doesn't it?
Tria Beauty have an Age-Defying Laser that has been designed in collaboration with dermatologists and plastic surgeons and uses the same technology as professional clinic treatments. The laser sends targeted beams of light deep within the skin to stimulate collagen production thus bringing about an improvement to the overall texture, tone and clarity of the skin.
Priced at hundreds of pounds, the Tria Age-Defying Laser is definitely a beauty investment that most of us would make after a lot of thought and consideration. However, if you consider the amount of money that one may spend on regular anti-ageing salon treatments (non-ablative laser treatments), this laser would seem like a cost-effective buy. The laser is also bundled into a deluxe kit which includes 100ml Priming Cleanser and 30 ml Finishing Serum. These products are formulated to work with the laser treated skin.
How to use the Tria Age-Defying Laser
The laser is easy to use. You need to follow a 3 step process:
- Cleanse - Wash your face to remove all traces of makeup and other products. I have been using the Priming Cleanser that comes in the deluxe kit.
- Treat - There are 3 levels in the laser (1-3). As I am just beginning the laser treatment, I have opted for level one to get my skin familiarised to it. To treat your skin you need to place the laser flat against the skin and glide it from side to side. You move on to different zones of the face to complete the treatment.
- Nourish - Follow up the treatment with the Finishing Serum which has been specially formulated to soothe, hydrate, brighten and protect the skin from ageing free radicals.
My first impressions after using this device is how simple it is to use. The laser itself is light-weight but very well-built and the instructions in the user manual are well written and easy to understand. I can see myself incorporating this laser treatment routine into my nightly skincare regime. It doesn't take much time and I haven't experienced any pain so far. There was a slight discomfort - a mild stinging sensation when the laser was in use - but nothing that I could not bear. Point to note is that I have only used it a few times and am currently on Level 1. As the days progress I will slowly move up the levels. I am very excited to put this laser to test and in eight weeks time I will again share my views on the device and the results.
