My hair has a mind of its own. It is frizzy and wavy and I need to have it blow-dried and straightened to keep it sleek and manageable. I straighten it at home every other day but if I am out and about and the weather is muggy then my hair doesn't need much time to get back to being frizzy. This is mostly a problem when I am travelling as the weather can be quite unpredictable. So when I heard of the Glamoriser Free-Styler, a compact handbag essential, I was quite excited to try it out.
Glamoriser Free-Styler is a cordless straightener that allows you to get professional results even when you are on the move. The straightener has smooth ceramic plates that are infused with Black Diamond Oil for smoothened glossy hair. As you can see in the photographs, the straightener is compact and can easily fit into your handbag. It has variable heat settings (180ºC and 200ºC) making it suitable both for complete styling or just touching up.
The straightener comes with a charging cable and a full charge takes around 3-4 hours. Once charged completely, the straightener can be used for around 40-45 minutes in the cordless mode. This cordless usage time would also depend on other factors like - the thickness of your hair or the length of your hair.
There are 4 tiny blue lights on the front of the straightener that show the amount of charge. When 4 lights are displayed, it means the straightener is fully charged. There is a travel lock at the base near the back hinge. You need to slide the button to lock the straightener. A travel pouch is also provided.
I have had the Glamoriser Free-Styler for a few weeks now and love it. It looks good - compact and sleek. Although they are smaller in size compared to regular straighteners, I find that the plates aren't that different from the standard ones and do the job as just as well. My hair is currently short (above the shoulder) and is medium in thickness. The Free-Styler is perfect not just for quick touch ups but also to style my hair. If you have very thick or curly hair, then the styler would work for touch ups but may not be strong enough for a full styling. Overall, this one is a wonderful travel straightener - glides effortlessly through my hair with zero snagging and is perfect for smoothing away frizz and for straightening. You can also use it to curl your hair.
Because its cordless and so lightweight, it is perfect for travel - an ideal travel companion to straighten and style your hair on the go. I have taken it on weekends away and like the convenience it offers. If you are a festival goer, you will surely find the Free-Styler very useful.
The Glamoriser Free-Styler has an RRP of £69.99 and is available from Argos, Debenhams, Boots and many other leading high street retailers.

These look just perfect for my short hair, I've been on the hunt for a good straighteners as mine have recently broke down on me. Thanks for the review as I haven't seen these ones before & I like the idea they have a heat resistant pouch :)
