I have been testing out some mini samples from Fair Squared who recently entered the UK market with a range of Fairtrade personal care products that are eco, vegan and organic. Fair Squared's range includes products like facial creams, body lotions, hand creams, shampoos, lip balms and shaving oils to name a few.
Fair Squared not only use fairly traded ingredients whenever possible, they also support environmental protection through Fairtrade. Their cosmetic products are 100% vegan and Fair Squared are against animal testing.
Let us take a look at the samples I was sent:
Made from Fairtrade olive oil from Palestine, this hand soap gently cleanses and moisturises the skin. It is free from SLS and parabens and is good for daily use. It has a lovely mild fragrance and I liked the fact that it did not dry out my hands.
I am not a big fan of Vanilla fragranced skincare/body care products but if you like the scent, then this sweet smelling shower gel will work for you.
This SLS and paraben free shampoo contains Fairtrade apricot oil from Pakistan and Fairtrade olive oil from Palestine. It helps restore natural shine in soft, straight hair and also keeps the scalp healthy. The fragrance is fruity and lovely and the shampoo feels very light on the hair.
Packed with the goodness of Fairtrade green tea from India and Olive oil from Palestine, this body lotion is wonderful for sensitive skin (equally good for normal skin). The lotion is easily absorbed and leaves the skin moist and smooth with no residue. I love the fragrance - it reminds me of tender leaves of the lemon tree.
Overall, I was really impressed with the samples I was sent. The Green Tea body lotion is something that I would definitely pick up. You can check the entire range on the Fair Squared website here.
What do you think of these products? Do you think you'll buy from Fair Squared?
