We had the March Degustabox delivered a couple of days back. This month the focus was on Easter and breakfast! A wonderful box as always. If you haven't heard of Degustabox, they are a monthly food subscription box that delivers a box full of goodies - new and interesting brands and products - to your doorstep. Each month there is a different theme and based on our experience so far with Degustabox, the selection of products is well thought of and the price of the box always works out less than the total price of the items included in the box. In addition you get to try new products and brands that you may never have heard of. Let's take a look at the contents of the March box.
Lindt White Chocolate Bunny £2.99
Lindt chocolates are simply delicious. It was no surprise to see the Lindt White Chocolate Gold Bunny in the box as Degustabox always choose the best of everything. Yum!
Chewits Strawberry & Blackcurrant 4 x 35p
One of my favourite chewy sweets - Chewits. I was happy to see these in the box - not one, not two but four packets! Strawberry has always been my preferred Chewits flavour and I was happy to sample these after a very long time.
Parle Monaco and Parle Hide & Seek 39p / 59p
This is a brand that reminds me of my childhood. It is one of the most popular brand of biscuits in India - Parle-G (their malt biscuit being the most widely known and most sold product). I was pleasantly surprised to see this in Degustabox. It is years since I have had Monaco or Hide & Seek. Between myself and Mr.H we finished the two packets very quickly.
Karyatis Meze To Go £1.99
A new brand and one that I liked a lot. A small pack of crunchy rosemary crackers perfectly complemented by sweet and smoky roasted red peppers and tangy feta dip. I think this is an excellent idea and I will be interested in trying out other flavours, if any.
Good Hemp Coconut £1.79
This was the Db's Discoveries product of the month in the box we received. Good Hemp Coconut is a nutritious dairy free alternative to milk. I have tried Good Hemp oil earlier but never tried their dairy-free alternative to milk. According to Good Hemp the product is made from the natural goodness of hemp seed and is a natural source of Omega 3. Though unsweetened, the drink had a mild sweet taste (probably the natural sweetness of coconut). It was refreshing when served chilled but this is not something that I would use on a daily basis. But for those looking for alternatives to milk, this could be a good option to try.
Pipers Crisps Cheddar & Onion £2.00
One of the best Cheddar & Onion crisps out there. With an authentic, strong flavour, these crisps pack a good punch. Very moreish - you can tell that they have been cooked to perfection with a lot of care. A little pricier than an average pack of crisps, but the quality and taste makes up for it.
Metcalfe's Skinny Popcorn Cinema Sweet £1.50
Sweetened with natural stevia leaf extract, containing 67% less sugar than all other sweet popcorn varieties on the market and with only 93 calories per serving this is definitely guilt-free snack. Perfect when you have a sweet craving and want to keep a watch on the calories.
Kallo Milk Chocolate Rice Cakes £1.00
Another guilt-free snacking option - these Rice Cake rounds coated with smooth Belgian chocolate are delicious. Only 78 calories per cake makes then a wonderful sweet treat.
Kallo Quinoa and Seeds Multigrain Cakes £1.89
Kent’s Kitchen Stuffings £1.85
Kent’s Kitchen stuffings come in 4 different flavours and we received the Cranberry & Orange flavour. This blend contains tart sugar infused cranberries, sweet moist candied organic orange peel, zingy cochin Indian ginger, flat leaf parsley, onion, pepper, light Muscavodo sugar and Brazilian orange oil for an additional zesty flavour kick. I haven't put this to use yet, but am eager to try it out.
Brioche Pasquier Pain Au Chocolat £1.40
With a generous helping of delicious crème pâtissière, these pain au chocolat tasted delicious when enjoyed warm. I like the fact that these come individually wrapped.
Weetabix On The Go Breakfast Drink 2 x £1.50
These breakfast drinks with extra protein are a perfect addition to the morning breakfast routine. In addition to the extra protein, the drink contains 4 vitamins, iron and calcium and does not have any artificial colours, flavours, preservatives or sweeteners.
So those are the products in the March Degustabox. What do you think? Would you be interested in trying out the box?
