It's Degustabox time of the month! The October box arrived a while back and contained thirteen products and one full-price voucher for a chilled product (a pack of President unsalted butter). It was an interesting box. For those of you who haven't heard of Degustabox, they are a food subscription box. For just £12.99 a month(including shipping) you will receive a box packed with products that are either new to the market or products from known brands at a discounted price. The box also includes discount coupons and recipe cards. I have been introduced to so many new brands thanks to Degustabox - brands that I was not aware of and products that I would not have normally picked up. So if you like food and surprises, then this box is perfect for you.
The October Degustabox contained the following products:
- 9Bar Original Carob Hit – RRP £2.49
- Kabuto Noodles – RRP £1.99
- Chip Strips x 2 - RRP £2.00
- The Snack Organisation Sweet Chilli Rice Crackers – RRP £1.00
- The Snack Organisation Freeze Dried Apricot – RRP £1.00
- Cirio Passata and Chopped Tomatoes – RRP £2.25
- Liberation Foods : Oven Baked Salted Cashews and Peanuts – RRP £2.00
- Lorina Coconut and Lime Drink - RRP £1.49
DB's Discoveries
- The Naked Marshmallow : Salted Caramel Marshmallows - RRP £1.29
- Geeta's Korma Curry Paste and Geeta's Lime and Chilli Chutney - RRP £3.10
Isn't that an interesting mix of products? There is something to suit all tastes. And if you add up the price of all the products, the total value is over £20 which makes it a very good box even price wise.
The Snack Organisation Sweet Chilli Rice Crackers |
Cirio is a brand I know well and so is 9Bar. We have tried products from them earlier and they are a regular at our home. Chip Strips, Liberation Foods, Snack Organisation and Lorina are all brands that we had never heard of or tried, so were quite excited to trial. Mr.H loved Chip Strips and this is something we will be picking up again. I loved the Sweet Chilli rice crackers from Snack Organisation while Mr.H loved their freeze-dried fruits. I usually avoid cashew nuts, but the salted ones from Liberation Foods were very addictive. I spiced up the Geeta's Korma Curry paste as we prefer our kormas much spicier than the ready pack but the curry turned out well. The Lime and Chilli chutney from Geeta's though sweet is delicious and has become a daily accompaniment to my main meal. The Lorina Coconut and Lime Drink would work well in a cocktail. We enjoyed it as is though. 9Bar which was the 'Product of the Month' was perfect as breakfast on the go, especially on busy days. Packed with Sunflower, Hemp, Pumpkin and Sesame seeds, it was energy boosting. filling and delicious as well. Overall, it was a box that did not disappoint. We loved all the products in it.
Do you like the concept of Degustabox? Would you like to try a box? Degustabox have offered my readers a massive £6.00 discount off their first box.
