Keep Your Feet Cosy and Comfortable With Totes Toasties

Socks may not be considered glamorous or sexy but with the cold days approaching fast (chilly days and even milder nights are already here) they are very damn important. More so in my case, as being anaemic I have very cold extremities. During the colder days I try to keep my feet warm by keeping myself well hydrated and by exercising so that blood circulation improves and brings some heat to my feet and hands. A good pair of chunky socks also helps retain the warmth.

Towards the beginning of the month we were kindly sent two pairs of Totes Toasties - one for myself and one for Mr.H. With luxuriously soft styles, bright designs and a cosy feel, Totes Toasties claim to be perfect for keeping your feet comfy around the house. When we received the socks, we had high hopes from the chunky pairs and they certainly did not let us down.

For Mr.H it was the Totes Toasties chunky twisted yarn slipper socks while I was sent the Nordic style slipper socks with heart pom poms.

The men's yarn slipper socks (£15.00) have a masculine look and come in a luxury knit using thickly twisted multi-shaded yarn in denim blues. Warmly lined with a plush fleece and with a flat knit sole, the socks come boxed nicely. The soles of these slipper socks are treated with a patterned slip-resistant tread which ensures that you don't go skidding across polished floors. According to Mr.H these Toasties are a great pair of socks to be worn around the house during the cold days of winter. They are comfortable and provide/retain warmth. He just wishes that the sock length was a little longer. It would have been a perfect ten then.

The Nordic style socks (£12.00) that I am wearing are snuggly knitted with a heart shaped pattern and cute heart-shaped pom poms. I was won over by the design and colour. In terms of efficiency, they are perfect in doing the job. The socks are lined with cosy, soft polar fleece making them very comfortable and warm. They are all set to become my default winter sock preference. Just like the men's socks, these are also safe on modern laminated and wood surfaces because of the slip-resistant treads on the soles (which come in a cute bow shaped pattern). I am happy with the length of the socks as well. The polar fleece makes the socks extremely comfortable and I love the snug fit. These socks are one of the best I have used and are very good value at £12.00.
