Facial masks are an excellent way to cleanse, detoxify and nourish the facial skin. They are my favourite part of my skincare routine. Depending on the type of mask you use (sheet, clay, cream based), you can revive, cleanse and control excess oil leaving your skin soft, moisturised and more radiant. Today I am featuring a wonderful mask from InstaNatural on the blog. I was first introduced to InstaNatural at the beginning of this year. Since then I have tried a few products from them and have fallen in love with the brand. Recently I was sent the Dead Sea Mud Mask which like all their other products is 100% natural.
The InstaNatural Dead Sea Mud Mask (as you would have guessed from the name) is made from pure Dead Sea mud and includes a nourishing blend of Organic Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, Aloe Vera, Calendula Oil and Hickory Bark Extract. The mask contains many minerals beneficial to the skin, like magnesium, sodium and bromine. These minerals work to extract the excess oil & dirt from the skin and purge blemishes while the blend of essential oils helps soothe dry and irritated skin.
The mud mask has a creamy, gel like consistency and is very easy to apply. When applied on the skin it is somewhat translucent initially but soon dries to a solid grey (clay-ey) finish. There is no discernible fragrance and I liked it. Within 15 minutes of application, the mask had dried and I washed it off with warm water (very easy to remove if you have applied it in a thin layer as directed on the tub). The mask left my face and neck clean, refreshed and even toned. Zero irritation, no redness and no tight feeling either. It is a wonderful mud mask designed to detox your skin without drying or irritating it. From the very first use I fell in love with the mask and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a facial mud mask. And the bonus - look at the size of the tub. It is a little over 500g. That's huge! This tub will last me months and I am not complaining. Definitely a good buy.
