Shaving is a daily experience for most men. With the advancement in technology, a range of electric shaving and grooming products are regularly being launched for men. Electric shavers are very convenient primarily because of their ease of use. A few months back Mr.H had reviewed the Braun CoolTec on the blog - a shaver that he enjoys using and can't stop talking about. Today he is back with another Braun product - the Braun WaterFlex Wet & Dry Electric Shaver which has been specifically designed for use in the shower and/or with shaving foam.
While Mr.H prefers dry shaving on most days as it is quick and convenient, he equally loves a good wet shave because it is much more soothing and refreshing. So you can imagine his excitement when the WaterFlex shaver arrived - a model that can be used both for dry and wet shave.
Fully washable and works both Wet&Dry
WaterFlex has a fully sealed body and is 100% waterproof. It has an IPX7 rating which indicates that it can withstand immersion up to 1 metre in water. You can also rinse the shaver under running water for easy cleaning. This totally waterproof build and very easy cleaning method won over Mr.H.
Contour-adaptive swivel head for excellent adaptation to face contours
Next comes the appearance and build of the shaver. Like all other Braun products we have used, even the WaterFlex is built to the highest Braun quality standards. It has an ergonomic design with a non-slip grip which ensures that the shaver fits well in the hand and doesn't slip even when used in the shower. One of the most unique features of WaterFlex is the pivoting shaver head which has a 33deg swivel which means that the shaver head is very flexible and can easily follow the contours of your face. Bye-bye painful snagging and irritation. It's a smooth and close shave each time with the Braun WaterFlex.
WaterFlex uses OptiBlade which is the most advanced foil from Braun. The unique shape of OptiBlade ensures that hair is cut deeper while still being gentle on the skin. The 3-stage cutting system also shaves long hair as easily as short hair.
Apart from the key features listed above the WaterFlex has a precision long hair trimmer to trim the sideburns. The shaver features a rechargeable Li-Ion 'no-memory' battery and takes around 1 hour to charge completely, then giving up to 45 minutes of cordless shaving. Depending on how long it takes you to shave, you will get around 15-20 uses before you need to recharge the shaver. The battery status is shown on the LED display. The only minor gripe that Mr.H has is the lack of a travel pouch. Nothing fancy - even the inclusion of a basic pouch would have served the purpose.
Overall, with all its key features and use of advanced technology, Mr.H feels that the Braun WaterFlex is a great product that gives a smooth and precise shave.
With Father's Day not very far away, we both think that the WaterFlex would make a good present for any dad.
