I love cooking. I enjoy it a lot. It is like a creative outlet for me. And I also feel it is one of the ways I can show my love and appreciation for my family. Cookware and kitchen gadgets that help save cooking time and also take the irritation of mundane tasks out of the way are always favoured by me. I recently received a Stellar Tate 20cm stackable draining casserole for review. When I noticed that the Stellar Tate collection offers a new approach to draining cookware, I knew this was something which would be very useful in my kitchen.
The new range is built to Stellar’s high standards with 18/10 stainless steel and includes draining saucepans in 16/18/20cms and draining casseroles in 20/22/24cms. All the products have a 5mm forged thermic base which has been optimised for use on an induction hob but it operates as efficiently on all other hob types too.
The casserole has a lovely design - a shiny stainless steel exterior. The inside is marked with measuring guide which is very handy especially when making gravies or sauces. The flat glass lid gives you a clear view of the food being cooked. The handles are ergonomic and sturdy. But definitely the winner is the easy draining feature. I found the casserole perfect for boiling soya nuggets. Boiling and draining is a no-mess job with the Stellar Tate casserole. Cooking Basmati rice using the open pan method in the casserole was also very easy. The rice turned out fluffy and perfectly cooked.
Final word: The Stellar Tate Casserole would make an excellent addition to any kitchen. It scores well both in terms of functionality and style.
