The Breath Company's oral health care products have been a no.1 selling specialist breath care range in the US and now they are available in the UK as well. The products have been developed by 'Bad Breath Guru' and acclaimed dentist, Dr Harold Katz and have been clinically proven to be effective in controlling the sulphur-producing bacteria that are responsible for bad breath. I had reviewed the Dry Mouth lozenges a while back on the blog and today I bring to you two more products from the range.
The Breath Company Toothpaste is guaranteed to stop bad breath fast while fighting the germs that cause cavities. It is also said to be highly effective against mouth ulcer and dry mouth conditions. The toothpaste does not contain foaming agents so does not foam as much as a regular toothpaste. It is kind of semi-translucent and maybe a little bit more runny than a regular toothpaste, but it does clean the teeth effectively. Mouth feels clean, fresh and smells great after using the toothpaste. For those with sensitivity issues, the toothpaste would make a good choice.
The Breath Co Oral Rinse is a non-burning and alcohol-free mouthwash that tackles both dry mouth and bad breath. It comes in Icy Mint and Mild Mint variants and is even suitable for diabetics and expectant mothers. We have been using the icy mint rinse and the taste is awesome. It leaves the mouth very fresh and the icy minty feeling lasts for quite some time. The oral rinse does not contain any artificial flavours or colors and both myself and Mr.H like it and would recommend it.
Both the toothpaste and the oral rinse:
- Work instantly on bad breath
- Control dry mouth symptoms
- Help maintain gum health
- Are approved for diabetics
- Are vegetarian, vegan, kosher and gluten-free
Toothpaste ingredients: Water (aqua), sorbitol, hydrated silica, glycerin, tetrapotassium pyrophosphate, tetrasodium pyrophosphate, xylitol, sodium fluoride, sodium lauryl sarcosinate, OXYD-8 (stabilized chlorine dioxide) sodium benzoate, aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf juice, essential oil of peppermint
Oral rinse ingredients: Purified Water, OXYD-8 (Dr. Katz's patented version of ClO2), PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Tetrasodium EDTA, Sodium Bicarbonate, Sodium Benzoate, Essential Oil of Peppermint, Sodium Hydroxide.
The toothpaste and the oral rinse, both, do no contain Alcohol, Saccharin, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Benzalkonium Chloride (which is considered an allergen). The toothpaste may take a little time to get used to as it doesn't foam but is perfect for those with sensitivity issues. The flavour is mild. The oral rinse has a more invigorating flavour and I must admit I love it more than the toothpaste. Overall, in terms of effectiveness, both the products work well. They leave the mouth feeling clean and fresh.
