Hair removal is a regular part of my beauty regime. I use different methods of hair removal depending on the part of my face or body that I am targeting and also my pain threshold on the given day. I have tried shaving, plucking, waxing, threading, IPL and hair removal creams. Of the methods I just mentioned, I have stopped using depilatory creams long back and I avoid threading as much as I can. For facial hair, the methods I usually opt for are either plucking or waxing. I was recently introduced to yet another method of facial hair removal - the EPI Hair Removal Roller from Laurelle Beauty and as this was something I had not tried earlier, I was keen to put it to test.
1. Put the spring on the skin where you wish to remove unwanted hair with a little bit of pressure(do not press too hard).
2. Slide the spring over the skin, against the direction of hair growth from bottom to top.
That's it. As you move the spring, it catches and pulls out the hair just like threading would do. As simple as that. When you are done, just pull the spring apart and blow the hair out. You can use a disinfectant to clean it regularly.
Tip: For best results, use the roller on a clean face without makeup and cream. If you have oily skin you should first wash your face for best results.
Overall, it is a wacky little tool for facial hair removal. You might find it a bit painful initially, but once you get used to using it regularly, there is very little irritation. It is quick, simple to use and removes even short hair. If you have extremely sensitive skin or facial dermatitis then it may not be advisable to use this. But in all other cases I think the roller is a good option as long as you don't get skin irritation.

Does it work?
Yes, it does. I have used it innumerable times over the past couple of months and it works well. The sensation when you are using the roller is akin to threading. It is a bit prickly but the reason why I would choose this over threading is because I have control over the process. In threading, the control is with the person who is threading while in the case of the roller I can stop if I need to. The other point in favour of the roller is that it picks up even tiny hair. I was amazed when it pulled out very short hair from the top of my nose! You can use the roller on upper and lower lip areas, cheeks, chin and neck. It should not be used on the eyebrows or elsewhere on the body though.
