Aubrey Organics is a range of all-natural skin, sun, body and baby care products. The company was founded over 40 years ago. Aubrey Organics uses the finest herbal, plant extracts and natural vitamins in all their products - this is based on their philosophy that great ingredients make great products. Their products do not contain petrochemicals, artificial colours or fragrances of any kind.
Aubrey Organics launched an exclusive Rosa Mosqueta© line in 1986. The products in this range are made with organic rose hip seed oil from Chile - the purest of its kind. Rose hip seed oil is said to:
- be naturally rich in essential fatty acids which are necessary for skin cell health
- protect and support skin's collagen with vitamin C and retinol
- restore the skin's moisture balance thereby improving texture and elasticity
- be excellent for dry or mature skin and brittle, damaged hair
A while back I received two products from the Rosa Mosqueta© range - the Rosa Mosqueta shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo claims to lock down colour and shine while gently removing impurities. It is said to retain you hair's moisture content. The vitamin-packed conditioner is said to fortify and rehydrate hair fibre to leave hair soft, healthy and revitalized. Both the products are ideal for colour-treated hair.
While I do not colour my hair, I still gave both these products a try as I love natural products. Now I had a mixed experience with these products. First up I tried the shampoo on its own. The fragrance is lovely. It is a warm rosy smell with some musky notes. I liked it. The shampoo doesn't lather much. This was okay with me as it is all-natural and I wasn't expecting it to lather like a regular shampoo but I found it very runny and difficult to work into my hair. Upon washing and drying, I found that it leaves my hair a little dry. I know it is a hydrating shampoo but for some reason it worked like a clarifying shampoo in my case. However, when I used both the shampoo and conditioner my hair was left in a much better condition. And thus I realised that I need to use both these products together to ensure that my hair is soft and manageable.
I like the fact that the shampoo is free from sulfates, parabens and phthalates. I also love the fragrance. A pair of products that work well for me only when used together :) You can check the Aubrey range here: aubreyorganicsuk.co.uk
