Today I feature on the blog a product that I have been reaching out a lot to in the past week. It is a brand that I am trying out for the first time and one that I have fallen in love with. The product I am talking about is the Botanicals Calming Body Lotion. Botanicals Natural Organic Skincare, founded in 2004 by organic skincare innovator - Wendy Stirling, provides a range of personal care products which are as close to nature as possible. Winner of multiple beauty awards, the range is suitable for vegans, does not test on animals and is one of the handful of body care companies that has its entire range licensed by the Soil Association.

Botanicals Calming Body Lotion

All of Botanicals products are free from:
- petrochemicals, sodium lauryl/laureth sulphate and propylene glycol,
- artificial colours, fragrances or preservatives,
- phthalates,
- parabens and
- genetically-modified and animal-derived ingredients.

When I received the Botanicals Calming Body Lotion, I was immediately drawn to the packaging. It goes so well with their brand ethos. The lotion as you must have guessed from the name is a calming lotion - it is said to help soothe and calm the skin after shaving, waxing or the use of depilatory products. While I haven't put it to use after hair removal, I find that it works equally well to moisturise and soothe sensitive or dry skin. With essential extracts of calming marigold and aloe-vera blended with soothing lavender and antiseptic tea tree, this pure and natural body treatment is perfect for daily use to soothe irritated skin.

First pump of the lotion and I knew my skin was going to love this. The lotion has 'the perfect' texture and gets absorbed nicely. It leaves the skin hydrated and smooth. And the fragrance is gorgeous - natural and fresh. The best part is that it is suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin as I mentioned earlier. This means that I was able to use it even when my skin was a bit irritated the past weekend. It worked well - moisturised the skin without aggravating the condition. If you have sensitive skin or dry skin conditions like Eczema, then I think this lotion will work well for you. Priced at £14.75 for 100ml, the lotion can be picked up online on the Botanicals website.

So, what do you think of this lotion? Have you tried it? Would you try it?
