It's Degustabox time. I am back with another Degustabox review. For those of you who do not know what Degustabox is, let me tell you. Degustabox is a monthly subscription food box that allows you to discover new flavours and food products every month. The products are chosen with care and you get to try out new brands and flavours. The box costs £12.99 including shipping and it usually arrives between the 25th and 30th of each month. Like the past month, this month too there were 2 slightly different versions of Degustabox. One with alcohol and another without alcohol. Since I was sent the box for review purposes, I received all the products from both the boxes. Lucky me!

The August box included:
  • Berry White Peach and Goji Berry Organic Drink - £1.59
  • Caribbean Twist Strawberry Daiquiri - £2.50
  • Fever Tree Tonic Water & Ginger Beer - £1.69 each
  • Cawston Press Apple and Pear Drink - £1.89
  • Lindt Hello Just For You Chocolates - £3.49
  • Mexican Daves Tortilla Chips - £1.00
  • Schwartz Flavour Shots - £1.39 x 2
  • Pasquier Brioche Pan Au Lait - £1.69
  • Pasquier Brioche Pan Au Chocolat - £1.79
  • Dr Oetker Edible Wafer Cupcake Cases - £2.50

Let me begin with the drinks. Caribbean Twist Strawberry Daiquiri was a sparkling alcoholic cocktail. It was simply gorgeous. Loved the fruity taste.  This was undoubtedly my favourite in the August box. I am definitely picking up other flavours from this brand. The other drinks were non-alcoholic and included: Berry White Peach and Goji Berry Drink. This one is a fruity and refreshing drink and it is organic. I have tried other flavours from Berry White and my favourite is the Lemon, Ginger & Acai Berry one. Fever Tree is also a brand I have tried products from earlier. Their range of tonic waters and mixers have a subtle, clean taste and the tonic water included in the box was no different. The Ginger beer was lovely too - starts off subtly warming and then develops into fiery drink. You can serve it straight over ice or even try mixing it with your favourite tipple :) Cawston Press Kids’ Blends are made especially for tiny taste buds. There’s no added sugar and nothing artificial in the drinks. There are no little ones at our home, so I had this chilled on a warm afternoon. It was lovely - light and mildly sweet.

Mexican Dave's Lightly Salted Tortilla Chips - We are big fans of tortilla chips at home. Mr.H loves these more than traditional crisps. Cooked in sunflower oil these lightly salted tortilla chips were excellent. This is a brand we will be repurchasing mainly because it has no MSG.

There were 2 products from the Brioche Pasquier brand - Pan Au Lait and Pan Au Chocolat. We enjoyed both as they made perfect breakfast treats. The Pan Au Lait was light and airy like sweet bread and tasted yummy with butter. The Pan Au Chocolat was also light and airy but filled with delicious dark chocolate. I liked the fact that these were individually wrapped making them perfect as on-the-go snack. Mr.H enjoyed both of these.

Lindt HELLO Just For You Heart Chocolate Tin - The chocolate lovers that both Mr.H and me are, we were delighted to see this pretty heart shaped box filled with creamy chocolate hearts. Needless to stay the chocolates were gone in a jiffy and I have already found use for the beautiful little tin :) It now holds some of my stud earrings.

There are 2 products that I still haven't got the chance to try out. First up, the Schwartz flavour shots. I had seen these in the supermarket sometime back but had never tried them, so I am looking forward to trying these out. Second, the Dr Oetker Edible Wafer Cupcake Cases. These are a wonderful idea and I feel would be perfect for children's' parties.

And finally there was an additional surprise in this months box. There was a full value coupon for MOMA! Bircher Muesli breakfast pots. This is not included in the value of the box but is an extra bonus item. Cool, isn't it? The coupon can be redeemed at Sainsbury's or Waitrose. We do not have Waitrose near where we live and I do not shop regularly at Sainsbury's. However, I do plan to redeem this coupon at the earliest chance that I get.

To sum it up, this was yet again a wonderfully put together box from Degustabox. They always seem to surpass my expectations - love it. And before I sign off, here is a discount coupon code for you folks. The code gives you a £3.00 discount when you register for Degustabox. The code is: I35BH
