Digestive disorders like Irritable Bowel Syndrome(IBS) and Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease(GERD) can have distressing effects on your life. The day I received my silicol®gel package I had flare-up of my GERD symptoms as if on cue. But that also meant, it was the right time to put silicol®gel to test.
silicol®gel is a colloidal or highly dispersible aqueous solution of silicic acid that is to be taken orally. The gel contains Silicic Acid, a compound of Silicon & Oxygen and the therapeutic action of the product is due to the large and reactive surface of colloidal silicic acid. This reactive surface acts like an adsorbent and covers the mucous linings of the stomach and intestine and attracts toxins and irritants. The irritants are then naturally dispelled out of the body thus protecting the stomach and intestinal linings. The product also absorbs excess acidity and gases reducing bloating.
I took one tablespoonful of the gel once a day at the onset of my symptoms; before my main meal. It worked wonders for me. The results were so quick that I was surprised. I have never had such quick relief from my heartburn and acid reflux problems. I had the gel neat followed by a few mouthfuls of water. The taste is a bit weird; kind of gritty - can't really put it in words. You can however have the gel mixed with water or juice. The products taste(or lack of taste) can be totally ignored considering how brilliantly it worked in easing my heartburn and reflux. I took the gel for a few days and then eased off it. I haven't had any flare-up since then. But now I know how to manage my symptoms if I have a flare-up again. The product is available for around £8.29 per 200ml bottle on Holland & Barrett and the price is totally justified in my personal opinion. Anything for relief from the pain and reflux.

ReplyDeleteI've suffered for years with here due to hiatal hernia, I've tried ppi's which don't work with me, I've tried ranitidine but that's hit and miss, so I decided to try silicol gel, fingers crossed it works, as nothing else does:(
