Tea lovers, I am back with yet another tea review. And this time it is the brand 'Taylors of Harrogate'. Founded in 1886, Taylors of Harrogate are an established family business based in North Yorkshire Dales. They are one of the leading tea and coffee specialists in the UK. Whether it is black tea, green tea or herbal & fruit infusions that you are looking for, you will find loads of varieties to choose from at Taylors of Harrogate. You can use their 'Tea Finder' to find your perfect tea.
I tried out two of their teas: Yorkshire Gold and China Rose Petal Leaf Tea. Yorkshire Gold is a rich and strong luxury blend. At home, both me and Mr.H prefer a strong cuppa in the morning. And Yorkshire Gold fits the bill perfectly. It is full flavoured and smooth. One of the best strong teas around. Once you start drinking this, going back to any other tea is difficult. I see this as a preferred choice of morning tea at home henceforth.
The China Rose Petal Leaf Tea has been a wonderful find. I have had rose tea earlier and was put off by the extremely sweet taste and fragrance. It had felt like sweetened water with rose essence. And I have to admit I was a bit sceptical about trying this one out. But all my hesitation was put to rest when I held the caddy in hand. The sweet gentle fragrance won me over. This one is a blend of China Congou black leaf tea with pink rose petals. Would you believe it, if I said that on the first sip of this tea I was transported to a rose garden. The fragrance is gentle and sweet. Not artificial at all. The taste is a winner too. It is light and smooth - perfect. If you love floral teas, then I highly recommend that you try this one out.
