Dry skin is a major issue for many during the colder months. A good exfoliator/scrub is a must if you want your body to look buffed and polished. Exfoliation not only gets rid of dead skin cells but also increases the blood flow giving your skin a healthy look. I am a big time lover of body scrubs and when I received the Elemis Lime and Ginger Salt Glow, I squealed with delight like an excited child.
I instantly fell in love with the way the product has been packaged - the colour, the jar; everything is so lovely and exotic. The red jar looks so elegant on my bathroom shelf. When I first opened the jar, I must admit, I was a little unsure because the scrub looked liked a plain mix of salts and oil, something that I could conjure up myself at home. How wrong I was! After the first use I was amazed at how well the scrub had buffed my skin and also left it baby soft at the same time. The scrub is very easy to use. Wet your skin and apply a little amount of the scrub in gentle circular motions. Rinse it off with warm water.
The scrub contains Ginger extract that is said to stimulate the metabolism and tone the body. It also contains Lime Peel which helps to cleanse and purify the skin. The Sea Salt exfoliates gently without scratching or damaging the skins surface. Overall, it leaves the skin healthy and soft. I do not use soap/shower gel after I have used the scrub. And neither do I feel the need for a moisturiser post using the scrub because of the unique blend of Kukui, Jojoba and Camellia oils that the scrub contains. That leaves the skin moist and hydrated. The Lime and Ginger combination is awesome. The fresh zingy natural fragrance enlivens the senses while leaving you feeling revitalised. I am loving this scrub from Elemis.
You can purchase the Elemis Lime and Ginger Salt Glow(410gms, £36.50) from timetospa.com. Add this scrub to your shower routine and your skin will thank you for it.
