For those of you who blow dry their hair regularly, one of the main problems we face is all the effort going waste when we take a shower. There is nothing more annoying that spending ages getting that perfect blow dry only to end up with frizzy hair after a shower. I always use shower caps when I am not washing my hair, but none of the ones I have used until now fit properly. Hair used to always peek out and humidity would end up making my hair frizzy. So when the 'Save the Blow Dry' shower cap was sent to me, I was intrigued and excited. Would it work? Would it stand up to its claims? Was it just a gimmick? I had so many questions and the only way to get the answers was to try it out.

The shower cap is of a generous size and has a soft inner micro weave towel cap covered by a protective phalate free outer cap. The cap is big enough to cover all my hair and the elastic fits snugly without being too tight. I have used it numerous times since I received it and each time my hair has come out the way it went in - no wetness and no frizziness. I would attribute this to the micro weave lining which offers extra protection.

The shower cap has a girly pink colour and cute retro bow design as you must have seen in the pictures above. I have medium thick hair and it covers all of it with space for more, so I guess it can hold even more longer/thicker hair comfortably. It is easy to use, looks cool and DOES its job well. And finally I am happy to have found a good shower cap!

Tip from the team at STBD
"Turn hat inside out (so the towelling doesn't get wet and yucky) and put on over your favourite hair treatment allowing it to work on hair more effectively."

If you fancy the 'Save the Blow Dry' shower cap, you can pick one up from selected retail and salon partners and at savetheblowdry.com. It is priced at £14.95 and though some may find the price steep,  it is for a good cause. £2 from each sale is donated to Khandel Light, a charity that works to improve the lives of the vulnerable and disadvantaged families in Khandel in the desert state of Rajasthan, India.

So, what do you think of this cute retro shower cap? Will you be buying one or have you already bought one? Do leave me a comment with your views.
