Thanks to naturally frizzy hair, I am always on lookout for products that will reduce frizz and make my hair more easy to style. I am not a mousse person. I had used it once long back and it kind of weighed my hair down and had the weirdest smell. However, when I came across the Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Hydrocream Whip, I decided to give it a try as I have had good experience with Paul Mitchell products.

The 'Hydrocream Whip' (the name was what enticed me to try this one out) comes in a sleek black can and is very creamy like its name. The mousse is also weightless and smells lovely. It claims to control frizz while giving a touchable hold. Let's see how it fared. I have wavy shoulder length and super frizzy hair that has a mind of its own. I have to make sure my hair is always moisturised and I tend to use a lot of serums to keep it under control. I have been using this mousse for some time now and it gives my hair decent volume and a nice shine without weighing it down. It does a good job of controlling the frizz as well. The key is to use just the right amount and then style it as per your need. You can do a voluminous blowout or define curls. I also notice that this gives some level of hydration to my dry hair. The whip hold will easily last for 6-8 hours. I am loving this Hydrocream whip.

Verdict: With Awapuhi and Argan oil to moisturize and add shine to your hair, this creamy foam is free from parabens and gives you a non-stick hold with added volume. It has the same fragrance as the other products in the Wild Awapuhi range, and I love it though everyone may not take a fancy to the fragrance. This is perfect for blowout styles. The only thing to keep in mind is not to overdo it, as too much product will weigh your hair down.

Note: Keep out of reach of children. It smells good and feels just like whipped cream, so kids will be tempted to reach out to it ;-)

With an RRP of £21.95 for 200ml, you can pick the Hydrocream Whip from a Paul Mitchell Salon near you.
