I have been reaching out to the Ozeri wok whenever I cook because it makes cooking so quick and easy. So, when Ozeri asked me to try out their Green Earth Pan, I was excited to say the least. The Ozeri Green Earth Frying Pan uses ultra-safe 100% PTFE and PFOA free ceramic non-stick coating from Germany.

When I opened the box, the first thing that caught my attention was the elevated textured surface. All the frying pans I have used until now have come with a smooth surface. After reading the literature I understood the reason behind this new design. The elevated texture creates air pockets which distributes heat underneath the food to enhance cooking. The patterned surface has been used so that food does not bond and also to help with cleaning.

Made out of durable heavy-gauge pure aluminium with no heavy metals or harmful chemicals, the frying pan can cook with very little or no oil in fact. The literature provided recommends no more than 1/4th teaspoon of oil. You need to spread it out to create a thin film and then wipe of the excess with a cloth or paper towel. While this works well, I have tried cooking with no oil and it has worked wonderfully well even then. Cooked food slides out smoothly from the pan.

The 3 main aspects that you need to take care according to me are:
- Do not use sharp spoons or ladles while cooking.
- Do not use knife to cut food directly inside the pan.
- Clean the pan regularly with warm soapy water. The leaflet also suggests cleaning the pan with lemon juice or vinegar to remove any residues that may form over time.

Although the pan is dishwasher safe, I feel it is best to hand wash it. Not only is it quicker but easier as well. I have had the pan for less than a month, so cannot comment on its durability. But so far the going has been good. I like the pan and if you are looking for a chemical free frying pan, then I would suggest this one.
