With an impressive list of celebrity testimonials, Vocalzone claimed to provide powerful relief from irritated throat caused by excessive singing, speaking or smoking. I am neither a singer nor a smoker, but I do suffer from irritated throat if I speak excessively. So, I gave Vocalzone a go as there is nothing worse than a coughing fit in a classroom. Read on to learn more about Vocalzone.
Let's look at the ingredients list first. Vocalzone contains Myrrh Tincture as its key ingredient. Myrrh is anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antiseptic, astringent and antimicrobial and has been used to treat sore throats, tonsillitis and mouth ulcers since ages. It also contains Menthol and Peppermint Oil to soothe the irritation. As far as the ingredients list goes, it has ticked all the right boxes.
Mr H was surprised at the black colour and the non-smooth texture of the pastilles, but I personally found them quite good. Black is not an often used colour for throat lozenges and so this is unique. Same goes for the texture. It is not soft to touch but I liked the texture as well. The pastilles are somewhat like hard gummy sweets and dissolve slowly in the mouth. Suck it slowly and you can feel the cooling effect and the throat opening up. Mr H suffers from dry throat/cough and these provided good relief to him. These also work if you are suffering from the common cold.
What I liked?
- The pastilles clear your throat almost immediately on use. You can feel the cool fresh feeling in your throat.
- Does not dry the throat.
- Contains no artificial colours or flavours.
What can be improved?
- The taste. The only thing that can be improved upon is the taste. It is not the best flavoured throat lozenge out there but again it is a question of personal preference. Mr H was not to keen on the taste but I was okay with it. In fact after a few uses, even Mr H did not mind the taste. After all the pastille was doing its intended job very well.
We have found it very useful to treat dry, irritated throats. If you are a professional singer or speaker, then this is a must have. You can purchase Vocalzone at most chemists like Co-operative or buy online on Vocalzone's website.
