The days are getting shorter and the nights cooler. I am hoping to make the most of the next 2 weeks and fit in some travel. Excited :-) Will let you know where I plan to go. Anyways, here I am today with my review of the first 2 products that I tried out from the Silk Oil of Morocco range - the Intense Moisture Shampoo and the Intense Moisture Conditioner. I have dry and frizzy hair and it needs lot of love and conditioning to keep it healthy and manageable.
Silk Oil of Morocco sells a range of luxury hair care products containing Certified Organic Argan Oil. The hair care products claim to increase manageability, elasticity & condition of hair. They also reduce frizz & styling time. So to test the claims out, I started using the shampoo/conditioner some time back and am now ready with my review. Lets begin with the shampoo. It is quite creamy almost like a conditioner. When I first squirted out the shampoo and saw the creaminess, I thought I had picked up the conditioner bottle :) In spite of being thick and creamy, the shampoo lathered nicely and was easy to rinse out as well. It does not leave any residue behind which is a plus point. The conditioner was even more smoother, quite rich yet light on the hair. Again easy to apply and wash off. Used together these 2 products left my hair hydrated and soft. The frizziness was also quite under control. I am currently not using any heat stylers because of damage that they caused my hair last year. But if you heat style your hair regularly, then these 2 products will provide a better result I think.
The fragrance is kind of sweet and fruity. Though I am not averse to such fragrances, in fact I love fruity fragrances, but I had imagined that this range would have a more earthy smell. I couldn't relate the sweet fragrance with Argan Oil/Macadamia Oil. This is just my personal view and does not take away from the shampoo/conditioner's excellent cleansing and moisturising properties.
The packaging is excellent. I liked the pump dispenser. Easy to get the product out, no spillage and no wastage.
Plus points:
- Free from Sulfate, Parabens, Formaldehyde, Sodium Chloride
- Doesn't leave any residue or build-up on the hair
Overall, for dry and frizzy hair these 2 products are quite good. Deeply moisturising the shampoo/conditioner soften and hydrate dry/damaged hair. I am liking them. You can check out the Silk Oil of Morocco range on their website.
