While browsing through Superdrug's website, came across the Angled Shadow Liners by MUA. I prefer using liquid eyeliners, but this one caught my eye. And at only £1.50 each, I thought I would give it a try. These Angled Shadow Liners claim to give 3 different looks based on how you use the parts of the nib. That's why the name 3-in-1 Contour Liner.
There are 7 shades available in the range and I picked black.
Shades: Black, Dark Brown, Auburn, Mint Fresh, Sage, Sea Blue and Smoked Plum
Website claims: Create the look with this fantastic 3 in1 Contour Eye Pen. The angles of the nib allows you to create different looks whatever your occasion. Add drama by creating big and bold eyes, go glamorous for a soft and sulty effect, or define eyes for an ultra chic finish.
The liner comes in a small black box with the 3 different eye looks printed on the back of the box. The product itself is sleek and sturdy. One minor gripe is that the shade name is not printed on the product. Rather it is on the outer box. I have only one shade, so it doesnt make a difference to me. But if you were to have multiple shades in your makeup bag and if you have discarded the outer boxes(which most would) then it is impossible to identify the product colour without taking the cap off each liner.
The cap(lid) can be pulled out and the product twisted up by rotating the barrel. The pictures below show the nib - notice the thickness. The widest section is used for creating dramatic effects whereas the tip can be used to define eyes. You can use the mid-part for smoky eyes effect.
The first time I used it, I found it a bit difficult to apply. I found it a bit hard and it seemed to drag on the skin. The colours come on very sheer and you need to build it up. However, with practise and patience you can get it right. Also, it works well on primed eyelids. The colour stayed on my eyes for a good 5-6 hours. And its very easy to clean off as well. Just a few swipes with the Kleenex Eye Make Up Removal Wipes and the makeup was gone.
I would not mind picking up the other shades and give them a try. For the price it sells at, it's a good buy.
