Today, I will be sharing with you my views on the Kleenex Eye Make Up Removal Wipes.
Product Claims: These soft, quilted eye makeup removal wipes contain natural fibres and provide a gentle and effective cleanse, removing your 'mask' at the end of the day. They are suitable even for sensitive skin and effectively remove stubborn waterproof mascaras. You can also feel good about using them as they have a lower environment impact than a standard wipe material.
My experience: I normally use an eye makeup remover(cleanser) with cotton pads or baby wipes to remove eye makeup. However, I was looking for some eye makeup removal wipes, so that I could carry them easily while travelling. Baby wipes normally come in big packs and I did not want to carry that while travelling as I have loads of other things to accommodate in my handbag. When I came upon these Kleenex Eye Makeup Removal Wipes, I was instantly drawn to them because of the cute girly packaging. To be honest, the packaging plays an important role in deciding what I purchase and what I ignore :) I loved the white and pink combination on the packaging which features a pink masquerade mask with a cute pink butterfly. Simple and yet so lovely.
The packet is rectangular in shape with rectangular wipes. These are smaller than the standard face wipes that we normally use, but then it is understandable as its meant for cleaning only the eyes and one wipe is good enough to clean both your eyes well. Another difference in these wipes is their thickness. These wipes are a wee bit thicker than face wipes and they have a dotted texture (small dots placed at equi distance - not sure if these have any function, but its a change from the plain old wipes). The wipes are gentle enough for the delicate skin around the eyes. They did not irritate my eyes at all. And the wipes do a good job of removing the makeup as well - whether its eyeliner or eyeshadow. It removes mascara as well, but I had to use a little bit of extra pressure, but that is the case with other modes of removing eye makeup as well. Mascara always needs a wee bit extra effort to remove as compared to eyeshadow or eyeliner. Overall, I am liking these wipes.
I will definitely repurchase them as they have been good to my eyes. They clean well and do not irritate the eyes. And are easier to carry while travelling. Worth the money according to me. I am LOVING these wipes.
What I like about Kleenex Eye Make-up removal wipes
- they are gentle on the eyes and effectively remove eye make-up
- they are suitable for sensitive skin
- the wipes are made with ecoform natural fibres (65% cellulose - as per the packaging)
- shelf life of 3 months (ofcourse it will be used much before that)
- the small size makes it easier for me to carry it in my handbag
- the fact that Kleenex has included the ingredients list and explained what each ingredient is meant for. This is the first time I have come across such information on the packaging. I am liking it as this gives me an idea of what I am using.
Price: £2.99 (But you can find them on offer many times at Superdrug or Tesco). I picked them up from Superdrug Online while it was on offer :)
