I love body polishes, scrubs and exfoliators. They are all handy products to get rid of dead skin cells and keep ones skin smooth and supple. I have no favourites among scrubs and exfoliators and love to keep trying new products. Some time back I picked up the Body Shop Seaweed Pore-Cleansing Facial Exfoliator. I use it alternatively with other facial scrubs and am very pleased with results.
Product Claims: This facial polish helps to cleanse pores and rebalance oil.
- Exfoliates
- Rebalances oil
- Refreshing
You need to massage a small amount into wet skin using an upward, circular motion. Rinse with warm water. The scrub factor is quite good and I love the smell as well. It smells like sea weed :) Hubby is not very fond of the smell though.
The consistency of the exfoliator is like a gel and you can see tiny brown scrubbers in it. The key is to massage gently and not to scrub vigorously. It cleans and exfoliates well. And it works well for my combination skin which isn't surprising because this product is targeted for those with Oily or Combination Skin.
Overall, I have been using it for 3 weeks and have had no issues so far. It hasn't broken me out nor has it caused any allergy reactions. I like it. So will be repurchasing.
The only minus points would be:
1. The price is on the higher side. Good buy if it is on offer/sale.
2. The fragrance - you either love it or hate it. At my place I love the fragrance while Mr Husband detests it. So, if you plan to pick this up in store, then smell it before you buy :)
